Codicil : meaning
 
 
Codicil is a written amendment to a will. A codicil must be dated, signed and witnessed just as a will would be, and must make some reference to the will it amends.

A codicil must be registered if the will is registered.

A codicil can add to, subtract from or modify the terms of the original will. When any one is seeking probate the original will as well as codicil must be submitted to the court.
