A charge sheet is a memorandum of charges or allegations of misconducts against a workman. It is generally being issued after dissatisfactory answer to the show cause notice.

The purpose of issuing the charge sheet to the workman is to make him fully award of this charges which he faces and go give an opportunity to him to answer or defend those charges labeled against him.
