10+2 or equivalent thereto with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate and has secured not less than 50% marks in the entrance examination. Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% of the minimum marks. Admission is made from the rank list prepared on the basis of the marks obtained in the entrance test conducted by the university as well as marks obtained for the basic qualifying examination and also the marks obtained in the interview that will be conducted by a Selection Board consisting of the Vice-Chancellor, a retired Judge of the High Court nominated by the Executive Council, one member of the Executive Council nominated by the Executive council and an external subject expert nominated by the Vice-Chancellor.
