258. Death of unberthed passengers on voyage.- (1) The master of any unberthed passenger ship performing a voyage between ports or places in India, shall, on arrival at her port of destination, notify to the certifying officer or such other officer as the Central Government may appoint in this behalf, the date and supposed cause of dearth of every unberthed passenger who mayday on the voyage. (2) The master of any unberthed passenger ship perforating a voyage between a port or place in India and a port or place outside India, shall note in writing on the statement or the additional statement referred to in section 257 the date and supposed caused of death of any unberthed passenger who may die on the voyage, and shall when the ship arrives at her or place of destination or at any port or place where it maybe intended to land unberthed passengers, and before any passengers leaves the ship, produce the statement with any additions made thereto (a) where such port or place is in India, to the certifying officer or such other officer as the Central Government many appoint in this behalf; (b) where such port or place is outside India, to the Indian consular officer | ||||||
