13. Signing of documents.- (1) An application for the registration of a geographical indication purporting to be filed by an association of persons or producers shall be signed by the authorised signatory thereof to sign such documents and a document purporting to be signed by a body corporate or any organisation or any authority established by or under any law for the time being in force shall be signed by the Chief Executive, or the Managing Director or the secretary or other principal officer of such organisation. A document purporting to be signed by a partnership shall be signed by at least one of the partners. The capacity in which an individual signs a document on behalf of an association of persons or a body corporate shall be stated below his signature. (2) Signatures to an application and any other documents shall be accompanied by the name of the signatory in English or in Hindi and in capital letters. |
