Bare acts > Central Industrial Security Force Act, 1968 > Section 3


3. Constitution of the Force.- (1) There shall be constituted and maintained by the Central Government an armed force of the Union to be called the Central Industrial Security Force for the better protection and security of industrial undertakings owned by that Government , **[joint venture or private industrial undertaking] *[and to perform such other duties as may be entrusted to it by the Central Government].

(2) The Force shall be constituted in such manner, shall consist of such number of supervisory officers, subordinate officers, under officers and other enrolled members of the Force who shall receive such pay and other remuneration as may be prescribed.
