Section 122 of Transfer of Property
Act, 1882 defines Gift as:
"Transfer of certain existing
moveable or immoveable property made voluntarily and
without consideration by one person called the donor
to another person called to donee and accepted by
and on behalf of the donee.
Gift can only be made by major and
nor by minor, however minor can accept the gift through
guardian.
