Legal definition of Accomplice

Legal definition of Accomplice

Accomplice is a person who actively participates in commission of a crime. He may not be directly involved in crime or take part in actual commission of offence, but provide active support for the person who is committing the crime

Such person is also liable to the punishment which applies to the main offence by virtue of Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code on the basis of having common intention.
