24. Amendment of section 53.-In section 53 of the principal Act,-

(a) in sub-section (1), for the words "or Border Security Force", the words "or any other department of the Central Government including paramilitary forces or armed forces" shall be substituted;

(b) in sub-section (2), after the word "excise", the words "or any other department" shall be inserted.
