117. Powers of Agriculture and Rural Development Banks to advance loans and to hold lands.- Subject to the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder, it shall be competent for the Agriculture and Rural Development Banks to advance loans for the purposes referred to in section 111, and hold lands or dwelling houses in rural area the possession of which is transferred to them under the provisions of this Chapter.
