9. Power to obtain information from exporters etc.- The Central Government or any officer or authority authorised by it in this behalf may, by notice published in the Official Gazette, require- (i) persons manufacturing, dealing in or exporting notified commodities; and (ii) such other persons as may be prescribed, to furnish any information, return or report which the Central Government or such officer or authority may consider necessary for carrying out the purposes of this Act. |
