122. Title to hold land free of revenue.- (1) Any person claiming land free of revenue not recorded as revenue free shall be bound to prove his title to hold such land free of revenue. (2) If he proves his tiled to the satisfaction of the Settlement Officer, the case shall be reported to the Chief Commissioner whose orders shall be final. (3) If the title is not so proved, the Settlement Officer shall proceed to assess the land and to make the settlement of it with the persons entitled to the land. |
