116. Transfer of duties of Deputy Commissioner to Settlement Officer.- Where the State or any part thereof is under settlement, the Chief Commissioner may, by a notification in the official Gazette, transfer to the Settlement Officer the duty of maintaining the maps and the field books and preparing the annual register and the Settlement Officer shall thereupon possess all the powers conferred on the Deputy Commissioner under Chapter III of the U.P Land Revenue Act, 1901; or the Punjab Land Revenue Act, 1887, as the case may be. | |||||
