200. Tower scaffold.- The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that- (a) the height of every tower scaffold used in building or other construction work is not more than eight times, the lesser of the base dimension of such scaffold; (b) a tower scaffold is lashed to a building or a fixed structure before being used by the building workers; (c) any tower scaffold which can be moved or castered is- (i) constructed with due regard to the stability and, if necessary, adequately weighted at the base; (ii) used only on plain and even surface; and (iii) has casters provided with positive locking devices to hold such scaffold in position; (d) no building worker remains on board scaffold, tools, material when it is being shifted from one position to another position. | |||||
