149. Flooding.- The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that- (a) water tight bulkhead doors are installed at the entrance of a tunnel to prevent flooding during a tunnelling work where more than one tunnel is driven from a shaft; (b) all necessary measures are taken to ensure that no building worker is trapped in any isolated section of a tunnel when any bulkhead door of such tunnel is closed; (c) where there is likelihood of flooding or water rushing into a tunnel during a tunnelling work, arrangements are made for immediate starting of water pumps to take out water of such flooding or water rushing and for giving alert signals to the building workers and other persons to keep them away from danger. | |||||
