138. Clearances.- The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that- (a) the minimum lateral clearance of half a metre is maintained between any part of a vehicle and any fixture or any equipment used in an excavation or tunnelling work after allowing the throw or swing of such fixture or equipment; (b)the overhead clearance for a locomotive drive at excavation or tunnelling work is not less than one point one zero meters above the seat of such driver and not less than two meters above the platform where such driver stands or of any other dimension in accordance with the relevant national standard. | |||||
