126. Piling, shoring and bracing.- The employer shall ensure at a construction site of a building or other construction work that,- (a) plank used for sheet piling in excavation or tunnelling work is of sound material with adequate strength; (b) shores and braces used in excavation or tunnelling work are of adequate dimensions and are so placed as to be effective for their intended purposes; (c) earth supported shores or braces used in excavation or tunnelling work bear against a footing of sufficient area and stability to prevent the shifting of such shores or braces. | |||||
