Procedure or commutation of sentence of death. — If a sentence of death is commuted under the Act or if the person sentenced to death is pardoned, and (a) If he has been committed to a civil prison under a warrant issued under rule 169, a further warrant in one of the forms given in Appendix V shall be issued by the commanding officer of such person; (b) If he has been detained in military custody, any warrant which may be necessary to give effect to the sentence as so commuted, shall be issued in one of the forms given in Appendix IV.
