88. Superior military authority. -For the purpose of Sees. 86 and 87, a “superior military authority” means- (a) In the case of punishments awarded by a commanding officer, any officer superior in command to such commanding officer; (b) In the case of punishments awarded by any other authority, the Central Government, the Chief of the Army Staff or other officer specified by the Chief of the Army Staff.
