Continuity of trial and adjournment of court. -(1) When a court is once assembled and the accused has been arraigned the court shall, subject to the provisions of rule 88, continue the trial from day to day unless it appears to the court that an adjournment is necessary for the ends of justice, or that such continuance is impracticable. (3) A court-martial, in the absence of a judge advocate (if such has been appointed for that court-martial), shall not proceed, and, if necessary shall adjourn. (4) The senior officer on the spot may also, for exigencies of the service adjourn or prolong the adjournment of the court. (5) If the time to which an adjournment is made is not specified, the adjournment shall be until further orders from the proper air force authority; and if the place to which an adjournment is made is not specified, the adjournment shall be to the same place or to such other place as mav be specified in further orders from the proper air force authority.
