8. Notice to surrender possession under sub-section (4) of Sec. 8. -(1) On the publication of a notification under rule 7 a notice in Form No. 3 demanding surrender of possession may be served on the occupant or holder of evacuee property, calling upon him to surrender possession to the Custodian or a person authorized by him in this behalf within the time specified in the notice, provided that in any emergent case, the Custodian may require the occupant to give up possession immediately and the premises may be sealed at once.

(2) A notice under sub-rule (1) shall be signed by an officer not below the rank of Assistant Custodian.
